Mrs. Steve receives a beauty makeover at the hands of Miss Yvonne as Pee-Wee supervises.

Mrs. Steve was a character on the "children's show" Pee-wee's Playhouse.

Mrs. Steve was a middle-aged overweight woman who was almost always dressed in a muumuu and had her hair curled and piled on her head in a loose chignon. Her make-up suggests that the character was loosely based on Glen Milstead's drag persona Divine. Indeed, in the episode "Beauty Makeover," Mrs. Steve is subjected to a "beauty experiment", a sly reference to Divine's role in the John Waters film Female Trouble.

Portrayed by Shirley Stoler, Mrs. Steve appeared in only the first season before her character was replaced by Mrs. Renee. After that, Mrs. Steve was only mentioned in later seasons.
