Mrs. Renee

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mrs. Renee was a character from Pee-wee's Playhouse. She was born on December 30, 1946 in Brooklyn New York. She replaced Mrs. Steve as one of the regular visitors to the Playhouse, in the episode "Open House." Despite the title "Mrs." in her character name, she didn't appear to be married. She spoke with a Brooklyn accent. She was also Jewish, as seen in Pee-wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. Her Jewish background was also hinted at in the episode "Let's Play Office", when Mrs. Renee calls Miss Yvonne bubbele. On one episode, she sees a painting by Pee wee and he insists she take it. Eventually, she hugs the painting, creating a masterpiece out of her T-shirt, which then sets a trend at the local mall.

Mrs. Renee was played by Suzanne Kent from 1987 to 1990.
