Why has this picture been darkened, it was fine before? Giano 10:53, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

It looked like there had either been fading or overexposure. The lowest red values are around 42, green around 47, and blue around 38. ShadowHalo 11:01, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
but now it looks very gloomy. Giano 11:03, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
That'd be because the painting itself is gloomy. Before it just looked faded. ShadowHalo 11:26, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
The contrast has been raised too much making the lighter areas bleed and the dark areas black. Please revert to Giano's image. Gustav von Humpelschmumpel 17:52, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Well it is protected now, so it needs an admin to revert the SH's changes Giano 23:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I believe I've reverted to the correct version now. Let me know if I'm wrong. (Which could well be; for the moment I'm seeing only a cached image)- Nunh-huh 23:28, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, I think that is better , thanks. Giano 23:31, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
See what you think of Image:Mrs Arbuthnot.remix.jpg. The picture may be gloomy, but I imagine the artist intended us to be able to discern, say, a glove from a shadow. - Nunh-huh 23:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
What a creepy picture Jcdizon 23:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
I think this lightened version is the best, the artict must have painted this extra detail or you would not have been able to discern it. Giano 06:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
