[edit] U.S. 35 Map
Thanks for the kudos. I have modified the map per your suggestion and I agree with you. Have a look. Stratosphere 05:13, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
The map should stay in the infobox if you're going to use it on the U.S. Route 35 page. People can click it to make it larger, but all of the U.S. Route articles will have the map in the infobox. As far as other pages aside from the U.S. Route 35, feel free to use it however you please. Stratosphere 02:16, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I use GIS data which includes all the Major Roads in the country. I then run an extraction query on whatever route I want and use that data to make the red line. I do all of this in ArcMap, which is part of the ArcGIS 9 suite developed by ESRI. Website here. The software is pretty expensive ($1500 I think) but I have access to it at my University since I'm studying GIS there. Stratosphere 02:32, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fun Spot Amusement Park & Zoo - a reply
Compare Fun Spot with Conneaut Lake Park. Both have the same number of adult rides (17; although Fun Spot actually has more roller coasters). True, Blue Streak (Conneaut Lake) is a roller coaster with considerable historical significance, but I think having the only looping roller coaster in the state of Indiana is also noteworthy. Fun Spot isn't the oldest operating park in Indiana, but it misses that distinction by only a couple of years (see www.rcdb.com). The fact that it has an attached zoo also makes it noteworthy. As for the redirect from Fun Spot, I do see your point. I just put it in because I felt it was the only notable location with Fun Spot in the title. Most everything else in the google results was little more than a mini-golf or go-kart place. Best, Irongargoyle 13:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for filling me in. Knowing Fun Spot, I just can't see that it qualifies for an encyclopedia article, but I'll take your word for it. I am going to remove mention of Fun Spot from the lead paragraph in Angola, Indiana article since it's not in Angola, and few would think that Fun Spot would top a "known for" or "home of" list. [edit] Some IN State Road shields for deletion
I have uploaded SVG shields that have superseded your shields. The discussion on IFD is here. Feel free to comment if you don't want them to be deleted. V60 VTalk - VDemolitions 02:55, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Dear MrHarman:
I am preparing a manuscript for a business textbook entitled Industrial Firefighting for Municipal Firefighters, to be published by PennWell Publishing Company in 2007.
May I please have your permission to use the material described below in our book, and in any future editions, revisions, or derivative works thereof?
Material to be used:
Your picture of grain elevators, "The Tallest Buildings in Edon, Ohio", which can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Elevators%2C_Edon%2C_Ohio.jpg
A sourceline will appear below the artwork attributing it to you. We will need your name and the year the picture was produced for proper attribution. This will read “Courtesy of 'your name', 2006”, unless you prefer a different wording for attribution.
We would very much appreciate your response and permission at your earliest convenience. You may email me at Brade@pennwell.com. This book is moving into production this month, so your timely response would be most appreciated. Thank you for your help.

[edit] Ernsberger House? Orland, Indiana
Where did you get the info you cite? Who is Ernsberger? The photo is of the Parker House. It was owned by John G. Parker and his wife Elmira J. Parker (daughter of Michigan Governor Cyrus Gray Luce). I have photos of the house from the late 1800's, with the Parker family in the yard. I visited Orland last year, and it is still known as the Parker House.
- Thank you for your input. I may have mis-identified the house, based on materials I referred to at the Steuben County Library. I will research. Thanks, MrHarman 13:30, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have re-uploaded this under the proper name and fixed the Orland, Indiana page. Thanks, MrHarman 03:49, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
