Tip of the day...

Section edit button

At the top of each section of an article (if it has sections, that is), located on the far right of the screen, is an [edit] button. The button is offset slightly above the section, and sometimes new users get confused and think it belongs to the section above it. When you click on the edit button, the edit window opens up, displaying the source text from the section immediately below the edit button. Please use these whenever you can. You can set your preferences to have the section headers themselves to act like the [edit] links.

[edit] Me

Hello! Glad to see you on Wikipedia! I am a user that goes by the name MrFish. I am a mister, but my real name is not Fish.

I have been here since April 1, 2006. I almost immediately began the never-ending work of vandal patrol. In February of 2007, I started the Monorails Task Force of the Trains WikiProject, but after eight months I had failed to generate any consistent members and I folded the task force in October of 2007.

In April of 2008, I was nominated for administratorship, but it wasn't long before I realized that I was not ready and withdrew.

Today, I am still active in the Trains Wikiproject, but you can really run into me anywhere.

[edit] To Those I Revert and Warn About Vandalism

A few things:

  1. I make mistakes. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you wish to gloat or anything.
  2. Even though sometimes I will warn you that you will be blocked for further violations, I myself cannot block people, as I am not an administrator. I can, however, request blocks.
  3. If someone from your school, home, workplace, or other location is getting your IP address in trouble or blocked, create a user account, like I did. It takes about a full minute, and will make you immune to your neighbors' mischief.
  4. If you are a vandal, please, find something more fun to do than ruining other people's work, even though it is usually all fixed in a minute or two. There are lots of free video games on the internet, you know.
