Welcome!

Hello, Mr webby, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 23:55, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Sure! First, click the link at the top of the screen that says "my preferences," or just follow this link. You should see a box that says "signature." Check the "raw signature" box, and enter the HTML code for your sig in the box, and then save your preferences. You should be good to go! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 23:59, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Just one thing: you should probably make your sig link to your real userpage, which is User:Mr webby. Wikipedia is case-sensitive, so the capitalized one isn't yours. If you want to change your username to a capitalized version, go to Wikipedia:Changing username. Happy editing! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:03, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
To change the background, you would do something like: <span style="background-color:[color]">text</span>. And no, I'm not getting sick of answering your questions; we were all newbies once. :) --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:22, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Odd that it didn't work. Alternately, you could try <font style="background:[color]">text</font>. Make sure you don't put in the square brackets, those are just for demonstrative purposes only. Hope that works. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:57, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Message button

I see you already found the template you can use. Feel free to use anything you like on my pages; it is a wiki, after all. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 01:45, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Table of contents

Yeah, the list of messages only appears when you get to a certain number of headers in your talk page (I think it's 4). If you want it to display before that, put __FORCETOC__ at the top of your page. Good luck! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:50, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Also, an unrelated thing: please make your signature link to User:Mr webby instead of User:Mr Webby. Wikipedia is case-sensitive, so you're linking to a different or nonexistent user right now. If you want your username to be capitalized, leave a request at Wikipedia:Changing username. Thanks! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:51, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] help

The next time you use the {{helpme}} tag, please also leave a message stating exactly what you need help with. Thanks,  Netsnipe  ►  10:35, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Runescape Quests

Hey, just thought I'd tell you that an article you created, Runescape Quests, is up for deletion. You can share your comments on the deletion page.Hemhem20X6 01:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Also, Webby, I suggest you check out the RuneScape Wiki, as there you can do a whole bunch of stuff (quest walkthroughs, skill guides, guides, etc.).

[edit] Your signature

I'd just like to point out that your current signature points to the wrong page. Page names are case sensitive: User:Mr webby is not the same as User:Mr Webby and regarding the appearance of your signature, you really should read what WP:SIGNATURE#Important_considerations has to say about it. Thanks --  Netsnipe  ►  19:56, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use

The following image: Image:RSlogo3.jpg is a Fair use image and cannot be on your userspace. You have 48 hours after this message was posted to remove the image from your userpage and your sandbox. Thank you for your cooperation.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 02:59, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

I have a question about the following picture: Image:800px-Errors.png. Is this is a screenshot of your own computer? Because if so, then it is a self-created image, thus voiding the image's fair use status. The problem is that you marked the image as fair-use. If you mark an image fair-use, then that image can never be on any page other than the article space.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 03:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I need to know:How did you create the virus screenshot? Did you create it yourself?--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 22:49, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm so stupid!!! I didn't even bother to read the error messages! I'll make the appropriate change in tags, so you can keep the image on your userpage. =) Ed ¿Cómo estás? 01:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

He. Those error messages are so hilarious! And next time, would you consider signing your post whenever you leave a comment? This can be done by adding 4 tildes ~~~~ at the end of your comments. Thanks.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 01:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

That wasn't bad work on the articles, though. Looking at your Contributions, your first edits to an article are considerably great!--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 01:34, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Aspergers

Hi. If you want Asperger syndrome to claim that a real person has the disorder, you need to back it up with citations of diagnoses. The Wednesday Island 14:03, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] It is a template...

It is a template, so nobody didn't edit your user page at all or your subpages. Second, modifiying your user (subpages) will not show up as vandalism because the template hasn't change. See here and the talk page. Hope that helps!--PrestonH 23:18, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

P.S. (as you should like): If I didn't answer your question properly, you can repost the question (with different wording) on my talk page or clarify that last comment.

    • I have typed down Michael (disambiguation) which redirects to Michael. I think you should add those names to article Michael in certain sections (or create a new section if necessary). But just to be safe, best put your suggestions in the talk page. Hope that helps!--PrestonH 00:03, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Welcome!

(Reply to last message) Your welcome for that barnstar!--PrestonH 22:17, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

P.S. I notice that you create a template for me, ^_^.

[edit] Huh?

I checked the history of the main page but it hasn't been edited in a few days. There are one of the two possibilities that happen here...

  1. Some developer accidently made a mistake so you have to wait a few hours for the Wiki to run properly.
  2. Your computer settings. If a developer didn't make a mistake, your computer probably has the wrong settings. I can't be too specific here since I'm not good at computers but try to change your computer settings until it works.

That is all the advice I can give you.--PrestonH 03:27, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Editing from school?? That is a more-than-likely reason why most pages you said get out of wack. Unless you edit from school the whole time, the reason why the glitches occur is because the computer you use. Some computers display a clear page while others make the formatting of the page messed up. Hope that helps!--PrestonH 01:00, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Archiving

I would recommend not archiving at this time because your talk pages contains little content. I would wait at least 30 sections before archiving. If archiving is critically important at this time (in your opinion perhaps), Copy the whole text of this page (except the "Please leave me a new message" sign) and put them on User talk:Mr Webby/Archive1. Hope that helps!--PrestonH 00:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

P.S. I'm not getting sick of you. Every newcomer (like you perhaps) should have assistance to Wikipedia and its functions. Talk to me anytime if you want to (just as long as you don't hit me with 10 help messages a day ^_^).
