Sam Pacetti is an American acoustic guitarist from St. Augustine, Florida, USA.
[edit] Biography and early life
Pacetti, who is of Cuban descent, grew up in South Florida, and was taught to play flamenco guitar by his grandfather. At the age of 13, his guitar playing took a different path when he saw fingerpicking legend Chet Atkins on television, and decided Atkins' style of music was what he wanted to play. Pacetti started taking guitar lessons with a noted local guitarist, Gamble Rogers. This continued until 1991 when Rogers died while attempting to rescue a tourist from drowning at Flagler Beach, Florida. Pacetti performed at Rogers' memorial service.
[edit] Musical career
In 1997 Pacetti recorded his first album 'Solitary Travel', after a benefactor loaned him the money for studio time and production as a Christmas present. He has since released two more albums - a live album 'Live at the Milltop Tavern', and 'Union', a collaboration with long-time friend and producer Gabriel Valla.
