[edit] Welcome
Hi! I'm bored, so i'm writing to everyone i know on this site (sadly, that won't take long) in order to see if they still check thier messages. So, anyway, I'm writing to everyone. Except Jared. I don't know why not Jared. Maybe because he's sitting right next to me. Okay. You're probably asleep by now, this mesage is so boring and piontless. Bye. ~*Sarah*~ 18:46, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birthday Committee
Mr. Turcotte, thank you for joining the Wikipedia Birthday Committee! This summer, starting on June 14, I will be going on a long WikiVacation, and obviously will not be able to do my "duties" (if you can call them that) as leader of the Birthday Committee. I would like for you to be in charge from June 14 to September 10. This doesn't actually entail much, but you will be allowed to change rules for joining the committee, make some new templates, etc. If you can't do this for any reason before June 14, please notify me. If you decide you don't want to after June 14, please ask NathanRDotCom if he would like to. Should he choose not to, have him ask GeorgeMoney. If he turns it down...use your best judgment on which member should be in charge for those few months. Thank you. Jared W 19:49, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Birthday Committee Bulletin Format
[edit] Thank you
Thanks for agreeing to be in charge of the BDC this summer. There are just a few duties you will need to carry out during this time:
- Read requests for membership, and see if they meet requirements. This can be done using their contributions list and block log. (If they do, add their names to the member list, and put the welcome template on their talk page.)
- Approve or disapprove Birthday Templates.
- Keep the Bulletin Board up to date.
I guess that's about it. Thanks! Steveo2 19:23, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA
Thank you, Mr. Turcotte, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:15, 20 May 2006 (UTC) |

Hi Mr. Turcotte, and thank you for your supportive comments in my request for adminship! With a final tally of (109/5/1), I have been entrusted with adminship. It's been several weeks since the conclusion of the process, so hopefully you've had a chance to see me in action. Please let me know what you think! Thanks again, and I will do everything I can to justify the trust you've placed in me! (BTW I used to know some Turcottes...) ++Lar: t/c 03:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC) |

[edit] "Nurosarus"
Hi Mr T, Please be careful of your spelling. I already had to direct your original article, "Nurosarus", to the correct spelling, which is Nurosaurus. Now I see you've added to the Nurosaurus article, but you've again misspelled it each time you wrote something about it. N-u-r-o-s-a-U-r-u-s. Just a head's-up. Thanks, --Firsfron of Ronchester 00:07, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Birthday Committee
I realize that this is the third time I've written to you on the subject, but I'd just like to make sure that you're still interested in being in charge of the birthday committee. If not, here is the complete list of who to pass the position on to, from first to last:
- Nathanrdotcom
- GeorgeMoney
- Thistheman
- MacGyverMagic
- Sergeant Snopake
- Tdxiang (Note: The following people may be addressed in any order, as I was not sure of where to place them on the list.)
- Mizuamina
- Condem
- Old Abe
- Haza-W
- Jslasher
- Butterflys
- Note: Gen. Eisenhower may be joining sometime after July 28. If you're not busy, and if he doesn't speak to you first, ask him if he's still interested when the 28th is coming up.
Thanks again! Steveo2 19:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

[edit] Newsletter
I'm not sure if you've discussed this before I joined, but has the WP:BDC considered "spamming" the newsletter to talk pages of users who sign up for it?
I'd be happy to help do this if needed- it shouldn't take that long to do, either, but would help remind Wikipedians of the Committee- it's how I remembered I was still in Esperanza!
EVOCATIVEINTRIGUE TALKTOME | EMAILME | IMPROVEME 22:17, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- I just had the newsletter posted on the BDC talk page. If you want, you can add it to the member's talk pages. Thanks. Mr. Turcottetalk 17:38, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:BDC
Can we please remove those membership requirements? Don't you think they are a bit silly? Anybody can use the template {{happy birthday}}, so being a member doesn't really matter. I think the membership requirements are a bit eccessive. --GeorgeMoney (talk) (Help Me Improve!) 23:59, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- I see what your point is. I have lowered the requirements to make them more "user friendly". They will go into effect tomorrow. Mr. Turcottetalk 00:46, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Keeping on Gaming, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Keeping on Gaming.
