[edit] An example
You asked, on Calton's RFC, for a specific example (I assume that's what you mean by a "direct result") of Calton being uncivil without being provoked.
Here is his first message to me, entitled "Dopiness". Our previous interactions consisted of me removing an unsigned message about "socks" from an AfD page, him reverting me twice, and me leaving him a talk message about it. I don't think I'm such a renegade in preferring the term SPA to "sock" that I deserved this. Don't take his straw-man assumptions at the end of the message seriously, by the way. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 22:28, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding your edits to Calton's talk page
I would recomend that you cease edit warring with this individual, and from this point onwards stick to appropriate warnings from the Wikipedia:Warnings page, where needed, as your personalized warnings may be seen as uncivil. Also, please do not threaten other users with administrative actions until it becomes blatantly clear that their intention is disruption. i kan reed 07:37, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just to completely confuse you, actually there is a strong feeling that using standard templates on established users is agressive and inflamatory and that in such cases personalised warnings should be employed. There is also a strong feeling that once a user has removed a warning then they can be considered to have read and understood it. These views come from AN and AN/I. I'm sorry I can't find the diffs but they have disappeared into the archives. I'll drop Ikanreed a note about this. --Spartaz 08:29, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please consider removing your "rules" section
Please consider removing the rules section on your talk page. It could be considered inflamatory, and definetly could be considered uncivil. User talk pages should be editable by any user, as this is the primary means of notifying you of any concerns. i kan reed 08:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
