[edit] Daisy Berkowitz
I saw that you removed the {{cleanup}} tag that I put on the Daisy Berkowitz article. That tag is not a bad thing, it just attracts more editors to come work on an article. There are still a few things that need fixing, but I'll leave the tag off if your willing to help. First, we need an opening paragraph (one that is not under a ==section== heading) that shows up above the contents. I'm just gonna delete the first section heading to fix this. Second, all the bold text in the article needs to only be italic, guess I can fix that one too, though. Check out Wikipedia:Manual of Style or look at other articles to get to know the style we use here. The most important thing however, is that the entire text is not really a encyclopedia article but a biography. I don't consider myself a good writer so I'm not gonna try to remix a whole article. —TeknicTalk/Mail 23:19, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- What the... It's all gone! Dude, that was some good info in the original article, it was just in the wrong tone, kinda VH1BehindTheMusicish. I didn't even get to read all of it yet! It's still in the page history though, so I'd like to eventually work up an encyclopedic version and get it all back in there. Feel free to try it yourself though, as I'm tits deep into 2 other article projects right now. That stuff about him being alienated by the band, that was a good read. Who gives a shit if only fans would want to know that stuff, everybody else can skip that section. If your really the one who spit that original text, then your a damn decent writer. Nice to have you here. —TeknicTalk/Mail 09:26, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Kevis.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Kevis.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:33, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hello! Thank you for contacting me. I have now updated the copyright information as per requirements. I found this image on numerous sites concerning Louth, including the Louth and Kevis websites. I believe this picture may have been taken by the council, or possibly by the local non-profit newspaper. Either way, since then the image has disappeared. I contend that the image must fall under fair use, partially because it's so small - and thus its usage in a non-profit content is not likely to harm the photographer's income, if in fact the intention was to sell it - and partially since it's since vanished and displayed no copyright information when it was publicly available on the aforementioned websites. Cheers! --^pirate 21:23, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Omfgwtfbbq.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Omfgwtfbbq.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 22:57, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Amended, thank you. --^pirate 23:01, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Punk'd
Hi. Sorry to bother you, but I'm having some trouble on the Punk'd article. An unregistered user named BigBang19 keeps re-inserting material into the article that is irrelevant, poorly worded, etc. I've tried posting a message on that article's Talk Page, but he has not responded. Because he had no User Page, my message to him was the first one on it. If you could check out the bottommost section on the Talk Page and chime in with your two cents on his revisions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Nightscream 05:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, and thank you very much for the compliment. I had no idea you were a fan of Randi. I'm not sure if you meant the Allison DuBois caricature or the James Randi one, but you might want to check out the work I did on the Allison DuBois article. If you compare the current edit with the version that predates my editing of it, you'll see I eliminated the POV material, and created a big section on the skepticism of her "powers", complete with alternate viewpoints supporting her and plenty of sources. I'm kinda proud of that one. Nightscream 02:39, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Toy Dolls
Why do you think article requires cleanup? Jakiša Tomić 10:17, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- Some say punk has to be political or angry but The Toy Dolls proved that it can just be a way to have fun with irreverent lyrics and song titles including such gems as "Yul Brynner Was A Skinhead", "My Girlfriend's Dad's A Vicar" and "James Bond Lives Down Our Street." Olga has been described as one of punk's most original guitarists (which is even more impressive as he is entirely self-taught). The songs are usually a mixture of frenzied guitar solos, Olga's cheeky lead vocals, singalong choruses, and humourous lyrics.
- Most of the article is worded as such: it's just unencylopaedic. --^pirate 17:00, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Faggottree.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Faggottree.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:04, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia's LGBT Community
Hi, Mr. Blake! You may not know that Wikipedia has both an LGBT Notice Board and an LGBT Studies WikiProject. If you haven't yet done so, take a look at both of them. They sorely need attention and participation! Some things on the "To-Do List" that merit particular attention include:
Please feel free to participate in any or all of these activities! And if you feel like it, add yourself to either the Noticeboard Members or the WikiProject Participants - or both! |

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Britt Allcroft.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Britt Allcroft.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 05:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as The article with the longest name in the entire English wikipedia, or any other for that matter. Hello, hello) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Alec32.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Alec32.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 00:35, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Alec32.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Alec32.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:39, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
