Mr. Lucas Hill is a Computer Technology and Theater Arts teacher at Walker Middle School in Salem, Oregon. He was born on December 2, 1974 in Torrance, California and moved to Oregon in 1979. He lived in Central Point, Oregon until 1992, when he graduated from Crater High School and moved to Salem, the state capitol. There he attended Willamette University and earned his Bachelor's degree in Theater. From 1996 to 2000, he worked at various low-paying jobs and performed at the Pentacle Theater, Salem's main community playhouse. In 2000, inspired by a trip to Peru, he applied to the University of Oregon where he subsequently earned his Master's degree in Education. Since 2002 he has worked as a middle school teacher in Salem. He is currently single and lives with his roommate Amy, a nurse at Salem Hospital. He owns two cats, Antigone and Ismene, who are named after characters from a play by Sophocles.
