Neil Purcell (a.k.a. Mr. Neil) is the author of Dasien, the superhero webcomic published at www.DasienComic.com. Neil frequently draws inspiration from various American style and the Japanese manga style, although done so to a very subtle degree.

He is also the author of several defunct comics, including the short-lived SPRITES, a homebrew of original art made to parody the typically poor humor of sprite comics; Thank God For Atheism, a freethought comic hosted at Infidelguy.com; and Fuddington University, a college comic that was published in StandOUT Magazine. All former comics, with the exception of SPRITES, can be found among Neil's scrap work on his DeviantArt site.

Neil's blog is frequently filled with long rants promoting the importance of science education and the necessity of civil rights, particularly for gays and atheists. He is also a member of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and posts Question of the Day on Goosing The Antithesis.
