[edit] Explanation

In the A & E movies, it seems implied that Simpson may have been forcing himself on Archie to induce Archies episodes... were Archies fits a part of the novel as well, and if so did the stories clarify if Simpson was raping or simply bullying Archie to an extreme degree?

"Archie" (Midshipman Kennedy) was not introduced into Forester's novel until after Simpson had been written out of the plot. The writers for the television movies made considerable changes in the story. If you have not already done so, I would advise you to read the novel, which I think you will find vastly superior.--Mabzilla 13:03, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
