Lester, an unsuccessful novelist, was betrayed by his former girlfriend in such a way that he has developed serious trust issues. Therefore, he encounters problems when he falls for pretty museum tour guide Ramona, and his woes are only exacerbated when he finds out that her ex-boyfriend, another writer, has just achieved the fame he never could.
