Mr. Criminal is a Chicano Rapper, and producer from Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California. He is signed to Hi-Power Entertainment. He is affiliated with the Varrio Silver Lake Trece Gang Tiny Wynos Clique. He has worked with the likes of Mr. Capone-e, Roscoe (rapper), Frank V, Soldier Ink, Lil Flip, Triple C, Nate Dogg, Comptons Most Wanted, Spider Loc, Brenton Wood, Layzie Bone, Kokane, Bizzy Bone, Lil Cuete, and Fat Joe.

Mr. Criminal, a 26 year old Chicano from Silver Lake, is one of the undergrounds most crowd-pleasing Hype men to Mr. Capone-E, providing audiences in the U.S. the same stage chemistry as Sen Dog gives B Real. He has a series of albums under his belt and has featured in numerous rap-u-mentries.
Mr. Criminal is from Varrio SilverLake 13. Since his first album in 2001, Criminal Mentality, Mr. Criminal has grown as a rapper and producer. He was first inspired to enter the rap game from his surroundings, “Growing up around fools that do all kinds of crazy shit and rap about it” says Criminal. “They would play around with beat machines and shit like that, I used to just listen and think to myself, ‘I could do that same thing’”.
Today he produces not only for himself, but also for various artists including Lil Flip, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, MC Eiht, and Mr. Capone-E, just to name a few. His work can also be found in albums like, Soldiers of the 213, What the Streets Created, Organized Crime, and other projects that have came out and projects that are soon to come out under Hi Power Ent.
Mr. Criminal’s 2005 release, “Sounds of Crime”, is an album that he considers a successful album, “I put a little bit of everything on that album, and it came out real good,” explains Criminal. “The response that I got from people was like everywhere I go people love it. People tell me that was like one of my best albums, so I like it a lot. Sounds of Crime was a real special album, one of my favorites."
He hails from Silver Lake in Los Angeles and rose out of Hi Power Camp. He's been featured on many of Hi Power compilations which has helped push the label past gold status. He has released his second album "Organized Crime".[1]
[edit] Arrest
Mr. Criminal and Cirday from Petaluma was arrested recently in Arizona for possession of marijuana and illegal firearms. He could face up to 9 years in prison if convicted. He has posted bail and just released a new song called "Just Bailed Out" that will be featured on his Sounds of the Varrio Part 2 Mixtape. On December 22, 2007 while traveling through Arizona, Mr. Criminal was stopped in his 2008 Cadillac Escalade and arrested for drug possession and possession of firearms. Arizona has a zero tolerance law and Mr. Criminal was booked into La Paz County jail facing nine years for three felony charges. He was bailed out next day by a Hi Power staff representative[2].
