MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MPS) provides staffing, consulting, and business solutions to various industries in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe. [1] MPS Group was founded in 1992 as Accustaff Incorporated in Jacksonville, Florida and changed its name to Modis Professional Services, then to MPS Group, Inc. in 2002. The company ranked 3rd in the Temporary Help Industry on Fortune Magazine’s AMERICA'S MOST ADMIRED COMPANIES 2007 list. [2] With 2006 sales of $1.876B and 20,100 employees, the company operates in three divisions: IT Solutions, Professional Services and IT Services [3].
The Professional Services division provides staffing and recruiting services in the disciplines of accounting, finance, law, engineering, and healthcare sectors, as well as for government agencies. This division also offers technical and engineering workforce solutions; staffs temporary and full-time employees in attorney, paralegal, legal administrative, and legal secretarial positions, as well as in accounting and finance positions; and traveling healthcare professionals. IT Solutions specializes in Web design and development, application development, digital data management, business intelligence, infrastructure & security, interactive marketing, project-based solutions, supplier management solutions and software-based workforce solutions.
