[edit] Beast

on Beast (disambiguation), you added "the beast of barcelona" but I think I'm going to need better citation on that one. The Beast of Barcelona doesn't link anywhere. Also Googling the term brings up something else (I didn't look long). Can you do the legwork on this one? Get some good references on the term? McKay 06:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stats update

When you update the stats of a player's infobox please also update the area marked pcupdate so that the date matches the stats. Thanks. Kosack 15:46 3 February 2008 (UTC} —Preceding comment was added at 15:47, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Revert

Why did you revert my edit without any explanation whatsoever? We do not need duplicate images of the Villa Park crowd, whereas we do need a diagram of the stands of Villa Park. Using the undo function without any discussion is a very bad sign. Any explanation? Woody (talk) 01:39, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

We don't want to cramp the page with images per the WP:MOS. "Your" image is the most replaceable as it adds nothing. Image:AstonvillavsBirmingham06.JPG shows 1 and a half stands, blurrily. As it is, removing it was the most sensible approach. Image:Villaparkfromtopofholte.jpg shows just as much as "your" image, just from a different angle, yet it manages to get two more stands in. Now, in order to develop the article for FA standards, it needs this diagram. Users can use the commons template if they want to see "your" image. The fact that you see it as "your" image is an incredibly bad sign, do not add you images for the sake of inclusion, include them if they add something to the article. May I also that reverting is for vandalism only. If you are to use the undo feature, or worse, the rollback feature, then it can only be for vandalism. For edits that are clearly not vandalism, then you need to add an explanation, be it through edit summary or on the talkpage. Do not blind revert as it can antagonise other editors and lead to edit wars. Woody (talk) 02:05, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if you felt I was being condescending, I was responding to what I saw was you trying to force your image into the article for better of for worse. Your first line was "...you removed the picture I took of the Birmingham game." In terms of its "encycylopedic value" in WP:FPC terms, it didn't add anything about the stadium that other images don't already say. The article on Villa Park is about the stadium, not the players.
May I add that in no way did I aim to demean your contributions to this project. We are all volunteers, yet pulling the I've been here longer is almost as good as I've got more edits than you... It is all pointless arguing about that, we all have our parts to play, our edits to make. Best regards. Woody (talk) 10:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
