[edit] Vandals
Hi there, thanks for your message on the IP user who keeps vandalizing the Saw IV and Saw (film) articles. There's been no activity from this IP since I posted my warning, but if the vandal does reappear, the next step would be to ask an administrator to issue a block at this link: [1] The user has been warned several times, so a block would probably be justified at this point. In the meantime, I'll put these two pages on my watchlist, so if anything turns up it can be reverted quickly. Best, --DanielEng 08:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:Films Welcome!
Hey, welcome to the Films WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has a monthly newsletter. The newsletter for June has been published. July's issue is currently in production; it will be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
- Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Film Tasks template to see how you can help.
- Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!
- Want to collaborate on articles? The Cinema Collaboration of the Week picks an article every week to work on together.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 23:42, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rigg
As it is now, there's nothing on Rigg's article that isn't on the List of Saw characters article. Although he is going to play a role in Saw IV, we shouldn't be making an article for him until he becomes important enough to deserve one. As such, I redirected the page back to List of Saw characters, so the information that was on the article is still available in its history. Once his role is expanded upon and there's enough information to sustain its own article we can bring him back. Thanks.--CyberGhostface 00:40, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] James Wan
I thought it sounded okay. though perhaps it should read "Wan and Whannell made a short of the film, also called Saw which is xx minutes in length and features ....."
Also, thanks for using my custom signature tutorial! And of course for actually crediting me.
Peace,
- ViperBlade Talk!! 00:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good, thanks.

[edit] Blanking of Baswich
Why did you blank Baswich, a redirect to Berkswich which looks legitimate ? In any case, blanking is never a good solution (except when the blanking is followed by a tagging, for example for copyright violation), and pages should rather be reverted, listed for deletion or modified rather than blanked. Cheers, Schutz 19:48, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Novels WikiProject
Hi, and welcome to the Novels WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to fiction books often referred to as "Novels".
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WikiProject_Novels_announcements}} there.
While you are updating your userpage, don't forget our userbox {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Outreach/User WPNOVELS}}. - The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but other methods are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines / template outlines some things to include.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the members, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE:Saw IV Clip
No problem, LoL, I just figured the more official of the two should be listed. Jack Of Hearts | Miss A Turn 12:33, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE:Twinkle
If you use history and view differences between revisions (Easy way to find recent changes: Vandal Fighter), you can hit rollback to, well, rollback to the last good version. It will then pull up the user's talk page, allowing you to appropriately add warning templates, or report them to AIV. Ask me if you have more questions!Mawfive 22:15, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Agent Straum/Strahm
You are correct, but there's also a problem with the Lionsgate Publicity site... The cast list says "Straum" and the plot says "Strahm". On Wikipedia, it's the same, so what do we do? Jack Of Hearts | Miss A Turn 10:11, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Neil Marshall
The free image at Neil Marshall is appropriate, and it should not be replaced with a non-free image. Remember, Wikipedia is about freely-provided content. Please review the image use policy! —Erik (talk • contrib) - 16:10, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Maximumride-theangelexperiment.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Maximumride-theangelexperiment.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:48, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:The Pope is Catholic
Hello! Out of curiosity, what part of the The Pope is Catholic essay did you find to be patent nonsense? MessedRocker (talk) 17:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Of course this is merely someone's essay. There are a ton of essays; in fact, they often times survives MFD. May I point you to the essay category? MessedRocker (talk) 17:46, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Issue II - October 2007 |

Welcome to the second issue of the WikiProject Saw's newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do. It's now "Saw Weekend" and Saw IV has been out for a couple of days now. (If you haven't seen it, don't worry, I won't spoil anything for you.) Because of this, a lot of the articles are probably going to need a bit of work. I'll go into more detail on other various sections. All in all, a lot of the 'challenges' from last month's newsletter are still here. Since the release of IV will probably be the last major release of info at least until next year's V we could probably just try to improve the information we already have. We would encourage all members to get more involved and if you are wondering what with, please ask. CyberGhostface 18:17, 29 October 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] WikiProject Saw January Newsletter
Issue III - January 2008 |
|
Happy New Year, everyone! Not much of a newsletter for today...I just wanted to report that OfficialSaw.com's website has undergone a massive renovation and has added character profiles and trap descriptions and the like. Why am I telling you this? Because it appears that our Wikipedia articles have been used for the site! (Check out the House of Jigsaw history section for one example). So feel proud, knowing that the articles that you have worked on have garnered notice from the folks at LionsGate... |

[edit] Ice Age 3
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article Ice Age 3, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 18:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Ice Age 3
An editor has nominated Ice Age 3, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ice Age 3 (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
