[edit] The Mist
Please do not vandalize The Mist (film) by removing cited descriptions of the primary characters. Erik (talk • contrib) - 19:35, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Movie Page Titles
Hi, I know you mean well, but please, there is no need to put the date of release in film article page names, unless it's to disambiguate from another article of the same name. Guidelines instead recommend that you put the year of the film's release in the first intro line of the article. There is also no need to put "(film)" after the title unless, again, it's to avoid clashing with another article. Best regards, Liquidfinale (Ţ) (Ç) (Ŵ) 21:40, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- The guideline that Liquidfinale mentioned can be found here: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (films). Also, I would like to advise you that upcoming films must already be in production for a stand-alone article to be warranted, per the notability guidelines for films. This is because projects are not certain to enter production due to a variety of factors in the film industry -- hiring a director, settling on a script, determining the budget, or even worries about a strike. Lastly, if you come across a film article that needs an Infobox template, copy the whole template from here and paste it into the film article. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 22:46, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Movieguru2006, please do not move film titles to a new title with (film) at the end if there is no other topic by that name. (film) is meant to disambiguate a film article from other articles of the same topic name, such as American Gangster listing different topics including American Gangster (film). —Erik (talk • contrib) - 01:34, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Future films
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that the notability guidelines for films dictates that a stand-alone article about a film should only be created if the film enters production. This is because in the film industry, it is easy for a project to stall and wind up in development hell. You can check a film's status on IMDb -- if it says "Filming", then the article can be created. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 22:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Cowboys for Christ
An editor has nominated Cowboys for Christ, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cowboys for Christ and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
