Template talk:Moveprotected

[edit] Permanent use?
As discussed at Talk:United States#Protection from moving, it would be useful to have a version of this template that could be used for (semi)permanently tagging articles that are deemed to be under constant threat of being moved as a result of long standing controversies. Such a version would place the article into a category similar to Category:Temporarily page-move protected, but more likely Category:Long-term page-move protected. [edit] This template is confusing
Could we somehow emphazie "from moves" perhaps? I found this template to be rather confusing because of it's similarity to the normal protected template? -SocratesJedi | Talk 23:24, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pointless
This template is pointless and just clutters up the page. Whereas the semi-protect template is useful for telling users to create an account and discuss changes, and both it and the fully protected one are useful for telling users who might be confused that they can't edit the page, pages are are rarely moved, sometimes never. If someone tries to move it, they still get a message about it being protected; this template is totally unnecessary. —Centrx→talk • 21:22, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
