Movies on TV

Movies on TV was a book-format collection of movie capsule reviews that began in 1958 and was updated regularly until 1993. It was originally called TV Movie Almanac & Ratings. Steven H. Scheuer edited it and contributed a large portion of its reviews.
The book rated movies in half star increments from 1/2 up to 4. It was written in the United States and published all over the world. The similar Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide has been better known over recent years. Also similar are Halliwell's Film Guide, by Leslie Halliwell, and The Good Film and Video Guide, by David Shipman.
