"Movie Star" is a pop/dance song written by Róisín Murphy, Seiji, and Mike Patto for Murphy's second solo album Overpowered, released in 2007. It will be released as the album's fourth single on July 21, 2008.

On March 22, 2008, Murphy announced in an interview with The Culture Show that "Movie Star" will be released as the album's fourth single. According to release schedules, the single will be released on July 21, 2008.[1]
