Move Closer is a song by Phyllis Nelson which reached #1 in the UK in April 1985 for one week.
It was her one and only hit single. In 1994 it was reissued and made #34 on the UK singles chart.
The song was covered by Marilyn Martin in 1986, being featured on her (eponymous) album Marilyn Martin.
It was also covered by British band The Bluetones as a B-side of their 2003 single "Fast Boy/Liquid Lips". It was also included on the band's 2006 compilation A Rough Outline: The Singles & B-Sides 95 - 03.
