Formed in 2000, MousePoint was a late blooming Internet startup company in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The company moved along with its president to Lanark County, Ontario, Canada in 2001 and its direction moved more towards community based technology delivery. In 2005 the company made much progress in the opening of MousePoint's "The Friendly Computer Centre", a retail business and technology centre in the village of Lanark, Ontario. The centre has a general store approach to the technology products and services it provides.
Product sales include:
- Computers, peripherals and software.
- Accessories and computer consumables.
- Home & small business office supplies.
Services lines include:
- Computer maintenance & repair.
- Computer training classes and workshops.
- Digital imaging/printing & document preparation services.
- Internet connected workstation rentals.
- Web portal development.
- Small business web site development, hosting and maintenance.
Prior to forming MousePoint, Robert Eady, the company's president, was a consultant and developer of Internet technologies and web portal sites aimed at education, entertainment and healthcare.
