From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mountjoy Square (Irish: CearnĂ³g Mhuinseo) lies on the north side of Dublin. In the centre is a park, while Georgian houses surround it. The west side of the square lies between Upper and Middle Gardiner Street. The square lies just inside the North Circular Road.

It was begun in 1790, but not finished until 1818.

Part of the Dublin Institute of Technology is based in Mountjoy Square
