[edit] Noteworthy Trees
Some of the trees found in the grove that are worthy of special note are:
- Genesis Tree: This tree is the seventh largest tree in the world, the trail that takes you to it aprouches it from its smallest side so one cant get a best view of it without bushwacking round the back where it is larger but still not a rival to the base of the Boole tree for example which is located in Converse Basin Grove.
- Summit Road Tree: The fifthteenth largest tree in the world.
- Adam Tree: This is surley one of the most imposing trees in mountain home grove, its base looks huge from the downhill side.
- Euclid: Identified as being a large tree in 1989 by Wendell Flint the author of the book "to find the biggest tree" this tree is pretty tall (273 feet) considering it's one of the biggest, which usually don't grow as tall.
- Methuselah: Large sequoia with broken top and large diameter at base.
- Hercules Tree: Jesse Hoskings cut a 12 by 12 by 12 foot room out of this tree for shelter. The room is still open for people to walk in year round. The tree has been struck by lighing so it isn't very tall and its top half has a huge burn scar.
- Great Bonsai Tree: This is one of the greatest sequoia sights to be seen anywhere (Quote from Wendells book) This short tree has many large limbs and is situated by a pile of boulders.
