The Mountain Caracara (Phalcoboenus megalopterus) is a species of bird of prey in the Falconidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland and heavily degraded former forest.
