Mount Whisler is a mountain of the British Empire Range on Ellesmere Island. Mount Whisler is located about 12 km northeast of Barbeau Peak (2,616m), the highest peak of the range. The mountain is completely surrounded by the Henrietta Nesmith Glacier.
Mount Whisler was first mapped in 1882 by the United States Army Signal Service during their Lady Franklin Bay expedition. It was named for Private William Whisler, a member of the party.
Mount Whisler is the seconed highest peak of the British Empire Range, as well as Ellesmere Island and the Arctic Cordillera.
