Mount Saint Joseph Academy is a Roman Catholic school located in Buffalo, New York. The school enrolls students in classes from pre-kindergarten to the eighth grade. The school is within the Diocese of Buffalo.
Mount St. Joseph Academy serves students in pre-K through eighth grade. At Mount St. Joseph Academy your child will begin an educational journey by building a foundation for learning that will last a lifetime. Our classes are designed to be small in size with an emphasis on personal attention.
MSJA was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1891. Today the Mount is an independent school operating in the Catholic tradition. Our philosophy is based on the core values of charity, justice, and unity. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the individual child.

A New Campus!
Mount St. Joseph Academy opened the 2007-2008 school year at a new campus at 15 Jewett Parkway at Main Street in Buffalo, New York. The campus is located along an educational corridor on Main Street in Buffalo. Located in the Parkside Community, the new Mount St. Joseph Academy campus is a short walk from Frank Lloyd Wright's historic Darwin Martin House, and from Frederick Law Olmsted's Delaware Park.
Academics
The Mount St. Joseph Academy curriculum reflects our strong commitment to academic excellence in a gentle nurturing environment. In addition to the traditional core subjects of reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies, students explore the world of the arts and technology. Foreign language which begins in Kindergarten is also emphasized at the Mount.
Each child has unique gifts and talents waiting to be affirmed and developed. Working together in partnership with our families, the MJSA faculty and staff strive to insure that each child in our school values learning, is happy and self-confident, and celebrates their childhood.
