Mount Pleasant High School is a public high school located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan in the U.S. state of Michigan. It offers college preparatory courses to students in grades 9-12, technical preparatory courses from the Mount Pleasant Area Technical Center, as well as an Advanced Placement course in calculus. In addition, all students may choose to dual-enroll in university courses at nearby Central Michigan University with passing/satisfactory results on the MEAP.

Mount Pleasant High School currently has four administrators:

  • Mr. Jeffery Thoenes- Principal
  • Ms. Susan Renaud- Assistant Principal (Grades 9 and 11)
  • Mrs Jennifer Verleger- Assistant Principal (Grades 10 and 12)
  • Mr. James Conway- Athletic Director

Additionally the Mount Pleasant Area Technical Center also has one administrator:

In 2007, Mount Pleasant High School garnered attention when senior Xingmeng Zhao scored a perfect 36 on the American College Test.[1]

They also include current Indiana men's basketball coach Tom Crean, former Duke University basketball player Vicki Krapohl, PGA golfers Doug LaBelle II, Dan Pohl and LPGA golfers Cindy Figg-Currier and Kelly Robbins. Alumni Ryan Brehm is the all time record setting medalist at Michigan State University and last year's Michigan Amateur Champion.

Mt. Pleasnt High School claims a rich academic and fine arts tradition in addition to its ahtletic success, including Rhodes Scholars, and nationally acclaimed musicians.

Mount Pleasant Public Schools are listed among "America's Top 100 Music Education Venues."

Various student groups from academe and practicum organizations regularly compete for state and national championships.
