Mount Pleasant is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville. Its postcode is 6153.
While it has been a relatively expensive riverside suburb, it has experienced substantial growth in the past 12 months and seen its median price almost double to nearly $1 million, comparable to other adjacent expensive riverside suburbs.
Mount Pleasant now has many multi-million dollar homes lining its esplanade and streets.
Mount Pleasant also hosts the Head of the River Rowing event, as part of the PSA, an elite boys schools association in Perth
The Canning River borders the eastern boundary of the suburb. The last person to be executed in Western Australia, Eric Edgar Cooke, was apprehended at Rookwood Avenue in Mount Pleasant when he went to collect a gun that he had secreted in the hollow of a tree.
