Mount Lola is a mountain located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California, USA. Its summit is located north of Donner Pass and White Rock Lake near the Sierra-Nevada county border.[1] The mountain, with an elevation of 9,148 ft (2,788 m), is the county highpoint of Nevada County.[1] Mount Lola is located on the south end of a north-south oriented ridge that extends into Sierra County.[2] A subpeak named Mount Lola North bookends the ridge on the north side, but the peak is unmarked on topographic maps.[2] The north peak rises to an elevation of 8,844 ft (2,696 m), which is the highpoint of Sierra County.[2] The entire ridge, located at a high elevation, receives copious snowfall during the winter.[3]
