Mount Isbell

Mount Isbell (82°22′S, 156°24′E) is a mountain, 2360 m, at the northeast perimeter of Geologists Range, Churchill Mountains. The summit is 2.6 miles (4.2 km) west of Vogt Peak. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after John Isbell, Department of Geosciences, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; investigator of Permian and Lower Triassic strata of the Darwin and Churchill Mountains in several field seasons, 1992-2001, including work near this mountain.
