Mount Holly is a very small town in the state of Minnesota. As of June 7, 2008, it has a population of 4 people, making it the smallest town in Minnesota.^{[citation needed]} The mayor is Mike Haeg.

The founder is Mike Haeg and he was once the only person ever to live there and now there are at least 4 people, the founding of the town was October 2005, making it the newest town in the state too.

The "official" recognition of the town by the state of Minnesota came through a clerical loophole. After rejected attempts to "found" the town officially, Mike Haeg merely used the name ‘Mt. Holly’ on his driver’s license renewal. The clerk allowed the heretofore fictitious locale on state-sanctioned paperwork, apparently making its name and existence "official". His driver’s license reads, “Mount Holly, MN”. ^[1] Citizens of the town (the Haeg family) now recognise this day, 27 October 2005 as ‘Founder’s Day’. It is unconfirmed just how "official" this rather unusual means of registration will remain.
