Mount Hebron High School is a public high school located in Ellicott City, Maryland. It is part of the Howard County Public School System.

Mount Hebron High School was opened in 1965 as a junior high school. When Patapsco Middle School opened in 1969, Mount Hebron became a high school. It is casually referred to as Mount Heroin by the student body.[1]

Mt. Hebron High School is located in suburban Howard County, approximately 10 miles west of Baltimore. It is on Route 99, Frederick Road, just west of U.S. 29 and north of I-70.

Mt. Hebron was ranked 671th in Newsweek magazine's "America's Best High Schools" listing[4] in 2006 and was ranked 598th in 2007.

Mt. Hebron has had the #1 girls' varsity lacrosse team in the nation for five of the past six years. The team has been #1 in Maryland for the past 12 years and #1 in Howard County for the same amount of time.

In 2006, the boys' varsity soccer team won the county championship, 2A/3A regional championship, and the 3A state championship. They ended the season with an undefeated 17-0-4 record, the best in school history.

In 2006, Elizabeth McCarter won the 3A state championship in cross country in a time of 19:49.11

In 2008, the girls' varsity basketball team won the state championship
