From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mount Hawke is an old copper mining village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, approximately 2.5 miles (3 km) from the Atlantic coast at Porthtowan, 7 miles from Truro.

It is a quiet but friendly village and has a public house (The Old School Pub), a Post Office, a florists and two general stores (one is recently extending to have a take-away section). There are also two churches, the Parish Church (St John the Baptist) and a Methodist Church. In addition it has a good Primary School (5-11yrs) and contains the largest indoor skatepark in Cornwall. There is also a cricket club which plays in the Cornwall League. Mount Hawke also has a park called the "Millennium Green", which has a jungle gym, slides and swings and is perfect for parents to bring their children. There is a club called "the Mount Hawke boys". This is a private club created through the old school pub. The clubs members consist of local Mount Hawke pool players and surfers.

Mount Hawke is known locally as the "Golden Triangle", which consists of Mount Hawke, St. Agnes and Porthtowan, and has stunning views across St Agnes' 'Beacon' and glimpses of the sea.
