Mount Akagi (赤城山 Akagi-yama, or Akagi-san?) is a major mountain in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. Characterized by long, gentle slopes, the highest point is 1,828 m above sea level.

The upper portions of the prefectural road Route 4 approach the top of Mount Akagi.

Mount Akagi is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan. In addition, Mount Akagi, along with Mount Haruna and Mount Myōgi, is one of the "Three Mountains of Jōmō." (Jōmō is an old name for Gunma.)

The upper portions of Route 4 are featured in this manga's episodes. It is the home course of the Akagi Red Suns, a street racing team.
