Category talk:Mountains of Middle-earth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've put this category back into category:mountains because a cursory examination of the subcategories of Category:Fictional shows widespread subcategorization of other fictional things under the categories of their real-world counterparts. For example:
- Category:Fictional aircraft is under Category:Aircraft
- Category:Fictional ships is under Category:Ships
- Category:Fictional spacecraft is under Category:Spacecraft
- Category:Fictional foods is under Category:Food and drink
- Category:Fictional languages is under Category:Constructed languages, which is a subcategory of Category:Languages
- Category:Fictional books is under Category:Books
etc. If this is incorrect, then there needs to be some sort of widespread policy discussion to establish that. Until then I think this category belongs under Category:Mountains in some way, perhaps with a Category:Fictional mountains in between if there are any other articles about fictional mountains around to add into it.
