Motu Tony (born May 25, 1981 in Auckland, New Zealand of Samoan parents) is a New Zealand rugby league player for Hull FC in the English Super League competition.
Tony has previously played for the Castleford Tigers, Brisbane Broncos, Marist Richmond Brothers and the New Zealand Warriors. He has represented the New Zealand national team on five occasions and his usual playing position is fullback, though he can also play in most positions through the backline making him somewhat of a utility player.
Tony played in the 2006 Tri Nations Final for New Zealand against Australia in Sydney. Tony fractured his cheekbone late in the game after a challenge from giant Australian prop forward Willie Mason. New Zealand lost the final, and their Tri Nations crown, 16-12 after extra time.
Tony attended De La Salle College (Auckland) where he played for the First XIII Rugby League team.
For the Rugby League World Cup 2008, Tony may represent Samoa.
