[edit] Synopsis
Motives is a thriller that centers around Emery Simms (Shemar Moore), a highly educated and successful business magnate who happens to be married to the exemplary wife Constance (Vivica A. Fox). Things go dangerously awry when the thrill seeking Emery engages in an adulterous fling with the wildly free-spirited and exotic Allanah (Golden Brooks). Timing couldn't be any worse when the politics of high society, shady business deals, bad press, and a violent murder collide, they threaten to destroy more than just his shaky marriage. As police probe into his situation, they uncover a morass of deception, agendas and motives, where the stakes are colossal and nothing is what it seems.

[edit] Sequel
It has been announced that there will be a sequel to Motives coming in 2008. Brian J. White, Drew Sidora, Sharon Leal, Bone Crusher and Ralph E. Tresvant have signed on to the project with six principal actors returning (including Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore).
This sexy sequel to MOTIVES picks up three years after the steamy thrills of the original. Emery Simms is a rarity--an innocent man in prison. On the outside, his ex-wife (Vivica A. Fox) is married to his best friend (Sean Blakemore), and they're attempting to make a normal life. But Simms is killed in prison, and his brother Donovan (Brian J. White) returns to discover the real reason for his brother's death. The web of lies and murder may prove just as poisonous to Donovan as it was to his late brother.
