Motijheel (Bangla: মতিঝিল) is the principal commercial district of Dhaka city, capital of Bangladesh. It is situated at the heart of the city (the General Post Office is considered the zero point of Dhaka). Motijheel is the headquarter of Bangladesh Bank, the state-owned banks like Sonali Bank, Rupali Bank, the Dhaka Stock Exchange and many other important Government and private organisations. Motijheel is also close to the Kamalapur Railway Station, the main railway station of Dhaka. Renowned educational institutions such as Ideal School and College and Notre Dame College are situated in Motijheel area.

There are three other Motijheels; two in Kolkata, India (Dumdum Motijheel, and Entally Motijheel) and the other in Murshidabad, West Bengal, India.
