The Motherwell Homestead is a National Historic Site located near the community of Abernethy Saskatchewan. The site comemorates the life and achievements of William Richard Motherwell who was Saskatchewan's first minister of agriculture as well as federal minister of agriculture for the Mackenzie King administration. Visitors to the park are immersed in 1907 agriculture, as employees at the park are all dressed in theme costumes from the appropriate era. The Motherwell house, barn, and out buildings have all been restored to the way they were in 1907 as well. During operational months livestock including hogs, cows, and chickens are all on site as well.
The Friends of the Motherwell Homestead operate a restaurant and gift shop on site as well.
