Motel Motel is a indie folk/rock band based in Brooklyn, New York, with roots in Denver, Colorado.

The band members are Eric Engel, Mickey Theis, Timothy Sullivan, and Jeremy Duvall. They are self-described as "shwag rock" but their distinctive style has also been called "rattling, old-timey country"[1] and "garage-Americana". [2]

The band often plays live with a string quartet.

In the spring of 2007,The band released an EP entitled "Old York". The single "Coffee" appears on the EP along with the tracks Mexico, Cocaine, Marie, and Magic. They will soon release a full length album entitled New Denver.[3]


The band is currently touring the East Coast.
