IMDb profile |
Mot i Brøstet was a Norwegian sitcom made by Tore Ryen, starring Arve Opsahl, Nils Vogt and Sven Nordin along with Siw-Anita Andersen and Hilde Lyrån.
The show depicts Karl Reverud, Nils (last name never revealed) and Henry Pettersen, three buddies who live together in the suburbs in a house owned by Karl. The first episode depicts Karl getting fired from his job, and subsequently getting divorced. After the divorce, Nils, one of Karl's old colleagues move in with him, before Henry, a door-to-door salesman completes the trio.
Karl eventually befriends Målfrid (Siw-Anita Andersen), who later becomes his girlfriend, and she moves in with them in Season 4. Eventually, Nils also got a girlfriend, Trine (Hilde Lyrån), and she moves in as well in mid-season 5. The series aired for 8 seasons from 1993 to 1997, in addition to a one-off reunion episode in 1999.
A few years later, "Karl&Co", a spin-off featuring Karl starting a new life in his new apartment, aired on TV2. It aired for three seasons, spawning a total of 65 episodes.
In 1999 a straight-to-video movie entitled "Tusenårsfesten" was released, bringing together the cast from both series (with the exception of Trine Lyrån).
