[edit] ... and yet again
[edit] B&H Photo Video & Pro Audio
A tag has been placed on B&H Photo Video & Pro Audio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you can indicate why B&H Photo Video & Pro Audio is really not blatant advertising, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:B&H Photo Video & Pro Audio. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11 under General criteria. You might also want to read the guidelines on spam. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert why the article is not blatant advertising, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable.
Wikipedia is not a bulletin board for advertising. Please stop posting this. Fan-1967 21:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel there's some personal interest that causes us to not want your advertising here. That is not the case. We don't want anybody's. We want impartial, encyclopedic articles on notable businesses, but your submission did not remotely fit that description. You may note that two separate editors independently tagged your articles. I also find that two separate administrators actually deleted the articles, so this is not one person's opinion or "personal interest". Fan-1967 22:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

- Theoretically, it is possible for someone who works for a company to write an unbiased, encyclopedic article about that company. Realistically, I don't think I've ever seen it actually happen. Perhaps people who are too close to a subject are just incapable of seeing it objectively, or recognizing the promotional nature of what they write, even when it is glaringly obvious to others. If a company is genuinely notable, someone unassociated with it will write an article. Fan-1967 14:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello Reb Moishe. You have an issue. It's called Conflict of Interest. Nobody from the store should be posting an article about it. However, I would be more than happy to write one from scratch myself, if you feed me all the substantial articles from independent reliable source about B&H. You could use the wiki email function or my user talk page.

- Check out B&H Photo Video which I rewrote from scratch. I'll be happy to add to it information from whatever reliable sources you feed me. Feel free to post on the talk page, but please do not edit the article since you have a conflict of interest. Thank you. - crz crztalk 19:25, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
