Mostostal

Mostostal is a Polish steel construction company with headquarters in Zabrze. The company fabricates and builds a wide range of industrial structures from chemical plants to radio masts.

The company was formed in 1945 in Kraków, but a short time after moved its headquarters to Zabrze. It is now part of one of the largest industrial conglomerates in Poland. In 2001, the gross income of the company was approximately 1.227 billion PLN (approximately 400 million EUR). Of that amount, 193 million PLN (50 million euros) was generated from foreign business. Nearly 60% of foreign sales were obtained in Germany, where the company maintains an office.

In the 1970s, the company built the radio mast in Konstantynow, which was the tallest structure on earth until its collapse in 1991.
