Mossley West railway station serves Mossley in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
On arrival to the station, one is taken aback by the splendid display of sheer civil engineering of the concrete masterpiece. For this reason, it is known to many as the "concrete heaven" and has won several awards for this feat. It is currently being refurbished as part of a £17 million investment package by NI Railways to improve access for disabled passengers and provide better lighting, signage and seating. This upgrade work is expected to be finished by Autumn 2008.
Whiteabbey is technically the next stop on the line, however services only stop here once per day in accordance with the current timetable. At other times, trains are an express between Mossley West and Belfast Central, hence missing out Whiteabbey and Yorkgate.
