Mosque of al-Sayed Hashem

The Mosque of al-Sayyed Hashem is one of the largest and most notable ancient mosques in Gaza, located in Al-Daraj Quarter. The tomb of Hashem bin Abd-Manaf, Muhammad's grandfather who died in Gaza during a trading voyage, is believed by Muslims to be under the dome of the mosque.
