Moses Mayfield is a 5-piece rock band from Birmingham, Alabama. Their major-label debut album, "The Inside" was released in March, 2007 under Columbia Records and Sony BMG. Prior to the release of their first album, they opened for Switchfoot, The Fray, Will Hoge, Pete Yorn, Blue October, Dreaming Isabelle, Sparky's Flaw, and many others on several different tours. In October of 2007, guitarist Will Mason decided to leave the band without any notice. The band hired Dave Taylor soon after to replace Mason, and announced a string of tour dates through early 2008.
However, lead singer/founder Matthew Mayfield announced on the band's myspace page that Moses Mayfield was no more as of January 1, 2008[1].
