Moscow State Circus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Moscow State Circus is an auditorium in Moscow which opened 30 April 1971 that can seat up to 3,400 people. Performances are held each day in the afternoon and evening. The company employs several hundred performers and tours as the "Great Moscow State Circus troupe".[1]

The same name is used by a touring UK circus owned and run by the European Entertainment Corporation. The circus started in around 1998 when it leased artists from the The Great Moscow Circus in Russia. The circus consists of a cast of thirty-one performers, including clowns, trapeze artists, aerial acrobats, springboard acrobats and illusionists, but does not feature animals[2].
